40. John Q

My Take: That is a great trailer. You understand what the movie bringing to the table and you can't wait to sit at it. Clearly got some drama and action to it but also a human element you understand just from the trailer alone. This makes the movie a must-watch in my book.

39. Old School

My Take: Solid trailer here. Definitely some funnier lines and scenes they could have used but again, gotta leave the audience wanting more. Glad they got Will Ferrell streaking in there as well Blue, who's still my boy.

38. Good Will Hunting

My Take: not a bad trailer by any means but not nearly as good as the movie. That sounds stupid but in some cases, the trailer has been better (Pineapple Express). Not enough of the Robin Williams-Matt Damon dynamic is showcased in my opinion.

37. Anaconda

My Take: When I was younger, I loved this trailer because the thought of a killer snake intrigued me. I guess looking at this trailer now it looks a tad corny. Jon Voight's accent is all kinds of awful and the effects aren't that great. Still a good movie though.

36. Training Day

My Take: I can understand the difficulty in putting this trailer together considering Denzel Washington's character curses every other sentence. With that said, it does the job. Still doesn't outwardly give you the idea that he's a dirty cop but hints at it.

35. American History X

My Take: I wasn't impressed by this trailer by any means. Early on, way too much focus on the bad and not enough on the redemption at the end. This trailer would appeal to very few, and that's a shame because it's a movie people of all races need to see. Not sure how to make it better but this didn't work for me.

34. The 40-Year Old Virgin

My Take: It's funny but not funny enough for my liking. But with that said, the movie title alone is what had people not only talking about this movie, but ultimately seeing it. And once they saw it, they were recommending it to friends/family.

33. The Waterboy

My Take: The trailer is okay but not spectacular. You get some funny parts and understand the plot of the movie. But there are a bit more laugh out loud moments that could have been added. But again, the premise of the movie is enough for people to check it out.

32. Space Jam

My Take: Really short trailer to give it a fair judgement. For just over a minute long though, I thought it was pretty good. Nice joke with Bill Murray, you know what the plot is, and you get a feel for how this a family-friendly film.

31. Inglourious Basterds

My Take: I like this trailer because it is right to the point. It unfolds a bit like the movie does. My biggest problem with it is the lack of Christoph Waltz's character. He has some great lines too. Guess you just have to find out in the movie.

So not the best batch of trailers ever. Not awful but not great. Here's how I rank them:
